Chase N. Cashe “Daily Routine”/ “All In”

Hit-Boy and Merge produced “Daily Routine”. Pretty awesome. Hit-Boy is usually pretty awesome at beats. D. Rich produced “All In”. I like the overall dynamic of the song, but I can do without some of the Lugerisms. Chase’s Heir Up There should be a good time, as his rhyming prowess has really taken form. Kind of a swag rap for a dude with a healthy 401k. It works. Is Gumbeaux not the best produced album of 2011 by the way?

While easily my third favorite Surf Club rapper, Chase continues to expand his skill set and is becoming more interesting with every verse. The guy is going to be a commodity in 2012.

Kent goes for a nice little single here with a beat that probably isn’t good enough for him. With Chase, Hit-Boy and G Ry at your disposal, why go so… regular? Actually, the beat wouldn’t be such a problem without the shitty Luger charge-up thing. While we’re here. make sure you have The Becoming, where he raps over stuff like “Sarah Smile” in lieu of stupid noises.

Looks like some of the “big” blogs are finally catching up. Good for SC.
