KVbeats- Orange Alert ft. Little Vic + 5’9 + Won ft. Royce da 5’9″ & Pace Won

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Snaking its way through the old merchant harbor mist of Copenhagen, Denmark is the trunk rattling audio résumé of emerging hip hop producer, KVBeats. The young thirty four year old producer has recently dropped his debut compilation album featuring a slew of talented US rappers that have trekked through Europe (sometimes snatching a spot on KV’s couch) while on tour. The Résumé, which features verses from Slum Village, Royce 59, Chaundon, Pace Won, Mic Geronimo, Lil Vic, Prince Po, Oddisee and more is now available on vinyl and various online retailers as of November 11th.

Below is the lyrically aggressive Little Vic track and the grimy, Detroit meets New Jersey collaboration with Royce da 5’9″ and Pace Won.

If you would like to pick up a limited vinyl copy, contact KV at konvee@gmail.com or just make your way to iTunes and get yourself a digital copy.

Does Elzhi care anymore?

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

First read this and then this and then this.

El – Why do you even bother anymore? You’ve been phoning in verses for years now. What happened homie? You used to be the future star. You were that ’87 Topps Bo Jackson Future Star at one point. You continued to steal the show and we all rooted for you. Are you bored? Are you uninspired with rap? Are you all disgruntled because the Fat Beats album wasn’t promoted well or that Slum Village is run by snakes? Black Milk deserves better. We the people deserve better. Enough with this bullshit. Don’t waste anymore time talking about T3. Stop with the Nas remake. Get your shit together or just fall the fuck back. And you owe Mic King his $ back for that wack verse too.

Sincerely,

The People That Still Have Faith In Elzhi

Statik Selektah ft. Talib Kweli, Termanology, & Royce da 5’9 – Come Around

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Statik always brings heat in his production but sometimes his collabos are doing too much. His work with Saigon this year was phenominal so hopefully he continues with that on 100 Proof. Any Termanology fans here? –Philaflava

Earmint – “Then Go Outside”

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

I can’t get this song out of my fucking head!!!! More likely than not I’m behind the curve here, but Earmint’s MySpace has tracks featuring Psalm One, Royce Da 5’9 and Diverse. Per his site (that hasn’t been update in a few years), he hails from Chicago. So if anyone from Chi Town knows the deal, do tell. Do tell.
