Recently Fredro Starr has been releasing about 5-6 minute episodes of a series titled “Tales of the Industry” where he goes into depth about stories inside the industry that many may know about, and some most never knew about. All of them have been VERY entertaining and interesting, and worth the time to watch. So below, are all the ones he’s done so far (4), he has filmed 12, expect the next one, next week

Fredro Starr – Tales of the Industry

Sunday, November 15th, 2009
No rap group (with the exception of M.O.P.) has released music as consistently and as good as the LOX on the East Coast over the last 15 years. And they’ve done so without any internal dramas in the group. They’ve been through plenty of issues with other artists (Roc-a-fella, 50 Cent, Diddy, 2Pac), labels (Roc, Def Jam, Bad Boy), but they’ve never let it effect their music, collectively. Now, the same can’t be said for their solo albums, especially the one of the group’s “leader” Al Queda Jada, however, when they form like Voltron, they are on the level with any other group you want to name in recent history.
Here’s a Best of LOX mixtape that came out years ago, highlighting some of their best works
Joell Ortiz – Run This Town Freestyle
Tuesday, October 27th, 2009
Joell Ortiz rips down Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” proving to me, that he might very well be the best rapper in Slaughterhouse. Joell Ortiz doesn’t really get much recognition for some reason (Probably because he’s Hispanic) never the less, he’s constantly dropping top notch material since the “Bodega Chronicles”, and hopefully with Slaughterhouse possibly signing to Shady Aftermath, he’ll finally get his just deserve props as one of the top 10 in the game right now. –Magneto
Juelz Santana – Mixing up the Medicine
Thursday, October 15th, 2009
About time we heard something new from the Prince of the city. After all the politicking between the Dip Set members and Cam’ron and the controversy, nothing else matters but good music. Juelz has improved leaps and bounds since SDE and the Draft Pick days, and this song shows his growth as an MC. Hopefully, the rest of his work he’s been cooking up for his upcoming “The Reagan Era” album is up to par.

Monday, September 28th, 2009I heard you got a little Redman in town
Monday, September 21st, 2009Remember this nigga? Joe Sinistr, probably the biggest bitter in rap history. He bite Redman’s entire style and didn’t even attempt to act like he didn’t. For some reason, Erick Sermon gave this guy the co-sign and even put him on his album back in 1993. He certainly wasn’t a bad rapper, but the blatant bitting of Redman made him a hack and easily dismissed. Later on he would get locked up and disappeared from the rap scene, but he had some recognition from being a wannabe Redman/Craig Mack. Redman even went on to diss him on the song Rockafella from his Dare is A Darkside album.
“Wanna copy-cat my whole format
So you get funk tracks, punch lines and skull hats
HUHHHHHHH! Got a little Redman in town
Who’s that effin clown soundin wack with the frown??
I don’t know man, but you better wonder what I would do
Wild out on his staff like Birds one and two
My crew runs thicker than syrup from the bourough
You get hurt up, word up, Jam-med like Pearl“
