Alright, look Mad Men…. I know you’re the hot shit on the summer block, poised to wreak havoc with this new upcoming season. The lane is all yours, especially now that your best competitor Breaking Bad is done for the year. Swerve on, by all means. But just because Big Gay Sal got shit-canned (rimshot) in the last season doesn’t mean you can start slacking on the promo art. What is this sparse ‘study in Boiler Room screenshots’ nonsense? We get it, it’s the beginning of the 60s in your world, a new dawn for America and Sterling-Cooper-Draper-British Guy, they’re just getting settled in, there’s gonna be growing pains, blah blah blah. Alas, it’s strange that a show which usually trades in subtleties would take such a sledgehammer approach to visually summarizing where they’re headed in the upcoming months. Compared to the great poster for Season 3 this looks like a Family Circus cartoon.

I’m expecting big things this year Mad Men, don’t let me down. But next time, if you don’t want just some random shot of Don Draper all up in your poster… standing… holla at Ball Productions for all your promotional needs.
