Kent goes for a nice little single here with a beat that probably isn’t good enough for him. With Chase, Hit-Boy and G Ry at your disposal, why go so… regular? Actually, the beat wouldn’t be such a problem without the shitty Luger charge-up thing. While we’re here. make sure you have The Becoming, where he raps over stuff like “Sarah Smile” in lieu of stupid noises.
Looks like some of the “big” blogs are finally catching up. Good for SC.
Two new jamms from Chase’s forthcoming Gumbeaux. Both happen to feature Kent Money, who (as I may have said a couple times before…) is one of the best young rappers in the galaxy. Mr. Cashe is just showing off with these beats. Come on, man.
Excellent verses here from Surf Club’s Kent M$ney. The C.R.E.A.M.y chorus works too. Hopefully we get a longer version with an actual verse from Chili Chil eventually. Kent is quite serious and should definitely be on radars. Becoming has done nothing if not gotten better with time since it came out.
DZA did will in his recent collaborations with Curren$y, plus the production credits and the guest list are impressive. So this this seems promising, certainly worth a try.
