Who do I have to donate money or organs to for the Metal Clergy album to finally come out? Serious question.

New one from the upcoming Days With Dr. Yen Lo album, maybe my favorite yet. There’s a certain urgency and tension here that wasn’t as pronounced on the previous singles.

The first single from the new Ka album, presented in video form which has now become Ka’s tradition. In continuation of the Manchurian Candidate theme, again prominently used in this video, the song is billed to Dr. Yen Lo.  I’m guessing this is the group name for Ka and Preservation working together (feel free to correct me on this.)

Ka – Days With Dr. Yen Lo (Album Trailer)

Trailer for Ka’s new album, mysterious like under LL’s hat. The clip does not reveal much but this does appear to be a full length collaboration with Preservation (see here), who was on the boards for Ka’s 1200 BC EP.
The really curious thing here are the multiple allusions to the Manchurian Candidate. The trailer is a montage of clips from the movie, the album name is a reference to the villainous Communist doctor who brainwashes the protagonists, and the picture of the mixing board prominently features the Queen Of Diamonds card which in the movie activates the brainwashed assassins into action. So we can safely assume that the album will be thematically tied to the movie, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how.
