Joell Ortiz rips down Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” proving to me, that he might very well be the best rapper in Slaughterhouse. Joell Ortiz doesn’t really get much recognition for some reason (Probably because he’s Hispanic) never the less, he’s constantly dropping top notch material since the “Bodega Chronicles”, and hopefully with Slaughterhouse possibly signing to Shady Aftermath, he’ll finally get his just deserve props as one of the top 10 in the game right now. –Magneto

BSBD’s Young God was nice enough to give me a heads up on this earlier today. Da youthful deity told me: “This is a new mixtape to hold people over until the new official projects are released. This is a combination of AZ and Jay Z tracks we remixed. We did a lot more than just throw them over our previously released instrumentals as you will notice (if you’re familiar with our catalogue) we did quite a bit of modification.”
While I haven’t listened to it in its entirety, what I’ve heard up to now is head-and-shoulders above your prototypical, post-modern remix effort. I apologize in advance for the lack of any streaming audio here (computer problems on my end). This is being released in conjunction with Life of Villains.
