FLOSS gets a tape full of beats from Chris Rockaway and runs with a more Houston-centric style on this one. While this young fella has shown a ton of promise in AA ball, this tape moves him onto a AAA squad and should get him some looks from the bigs. Dude has a live arm.

D-Risha’s Big Trouble In Houston was probably my favorite H-Town album this summer (outside of Killa Kyleon’s constant output). That Purple Bastard’s remixing of Nasty Nique’s Breakfast of Champions, Breakfast of Bastards, was probably second. The forthcoming 6 Demon Bag EP will meld That Purple Bastards brand of trippypsychfunk to D-Risha’s fine produce. You will get excited about it.

The first leak is a reworking of D-Risha’s “Ebonics” using a ton of classic Houston samples (you should be ashamed of yourself if you get stumped more than once). The power is undeniable.

These guys make me proud to be an American.

Flawless Swangin. Paul Wall looks like he found a damn time machine. Get that man some corn rows and lock him in the studio with a Chamillionaire who isn’t afraid of curse words.

hasHBROWN is cocky as fuck, often proclaiming himself as Houston’s underground gatekeeper. While I have never been that much of a fan of his work, he actually backs up the bravado with “The Death Penalty”. Good ol’ fashioned rap music right here.

Get Ya Mind Correct is hands down one of my favorite albums ever. These two have recaptured the spirit of that record so perfectly that it brings a tear to these weary eyes. Hate if you want, but this is absolutely perfect.

If you haven’t checked out Snoopy’s Everything Ain’t Enuff, you are missing out on a ton of jammiez of this ilk. I still need more info on Geekins, who produced this thing.
