GMane – Wood Wheels Turning / Kristmas – Dodgin Bulletz

Some new stuff from a couple of our long-absent favorites from Alabama. GMane’s track (above) is from the upcoming album he recorded while in Europe. Kristmas’ track (below) looks to be a loosie dug out of Codie G’s surely extensive archives.

Haven’t actually had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet, but what I have heard is good and GMane rarely disappoints in general .

Big big fan of this combination of rappers (see here for more.) Really wish they would work together like this more. Really wish Bentley and Slash would put out more music in general.

G-Side – Gz II Godz (Full Album Stream/Purchase link)

Full stream of the new G-Side album, entirely produced by The Block Beattaz of course, with some visuals for accompaniment. IMO, and this is not any kind of deliberate assessment but more of a gut reaction, this is their most consistent and maybe even best release since Huntsville International. Things are more relaxed conceptually as compared to their previous 2 albums, and its better for it.

GMane, Bentley & S.L.A.S.H. – Crime Potnaz

There are only 4 songs here where GMane, Bentley & S.L.A.S.H. all rap together, but those songs are great and I really hope there will be more collaborations between all 3 in the future. Separately, each of them is talented in his own right; combined they could be unfuckwitable.
The rest is basically a good GMane EP. There’s an ST 2 Lettaz feature on a song that samples ‘Super Freak’ and interpolates the famous refrain as “in these streets”. The last song, which I think is the best song on here in general, starts with one of my favorite quotes from Belly. So I’m very happy with this overall.

Very nice beat by Akira, who also drops some bars in the end. Thought it was a Beatles sample but apparently not.
