First and hopefully not the last Green Ova + SMS collaboration. MAz deserve tons of credit for progressing and evolving from their early lo-fi DIY aesthetic to the point where a pairing with the ultra-polished Block Bettaz style feels completely natural.

My favorite song from G-Side’s iSLAND (toss up with ’16 Shots’) gets what’s maybe my favorite video treatment for any G-Side song to date. Directed by ST Trillsburge, John Turner Jr on the editing assists.
Not a huge difference from the original, but this version is a bit spacier and a bit closer to the Block Beattaz style so I like it a bit more.

G-Side makes a rare group cameo on a non-SMS track. Their iSLAND album is dropping this Friday, pre-orders are up on Bandcamp.

Footage from G-Side’s performance at the 2011 UKA festival in Norway, put together by S.L.A.S.H. The song playing is from the new album iSLAND, which you can pre-order now. I saw them do the whole track live this past weekend in Brooklyn and it’s even crazier than the short snippet we hear here would imply.
