FUCK YEAH, a new Charles Bradley & Menahan Street Band single. Not just a random single, a single from an actual album that will actually be released (info via the Daptone site.) I’ve been anticipating this LP for ages now, for the following reasons: reason 1, reason 2, reason 3.

All the songs I linked via youtube are going to be on the album, but Bradley also had a handful of good singles with The Bullets and Sugarman and Co. that won’t be included. These were a little different from what you hear above – funkier, more uptempo, generally rougher around the edges. You can find them below.
Los Sospechos – Jano’s Revenge/Mirror Door

Los Sospechos are basically The Budos Band with the kind of bold flavor they enjoy in … Albuquerque! Depending on the specific description/press release being offered, this band consists of either members of the Budos Band joined by new faces or is just members of the Budos Band under a different name. The music certainly sounds Budos-ish, albeit there is an extra touch of the White Sands in the mix. Either way, it’s good. The two songs are taken from the Postales soundtrack.
