Come for the unique production weaving a tangled net of vocal samples and off-kilter drums, then stay and replay a bunch of times when you realize that TREE is a much better rapper than you originally gave him credit for and that his songs get stuck in your head like crazy.
I would strongly suggest listening to this via good headphones, just streaming it from a laptop is not gonna do it justice.

Had this on repeat all morning. Most other songs celebrating the life of luxury feature either breezy or triumphant production, but this one goes for a dark oppressive vibe instead, with Tree’s tense ominous beat pressing on your ears like a vice. The contrast between the content and the sound is remarkable, that’s what really makes the track stand out.

How the fuck is Count not on everyone’s gay “Rapper Of The Year” lists?
New Burk(e)/(s)/Lil Chuuch, dropped via RZA’s #WuWednesday series. Clearly a work in progress (the beat switch at 30 sec is rough), but I like where this is going. I still maintain the theory that a Burk album properly produced (ie not phoned in) by RZA could be the best Wu-related piece of music in ages.
