More Dungeon Fam-Lite flavor from Mr. Craft and SMKA. This project looks fantastic. A track with Playboy Tre is worth the purchase price alone.

“The Way You Do The Things You Do”

INFO:

The Prologue Pt. 1 (out Monday, March 15th) is the first installment of the 2 part project introducing Aleon Craft and the Solar-Hop Chronicles (Part 2 out Monday, April 19th). Rewind a few years ago, Craft was better known as “Big Marc,” of Da Backwudz. The southern rap duo was signed to a major label (Universal/Rowdy Records), and he was working with some of the biggest producers and artists in hip-hop (ex. Nas, DJ Toomp, George Clinton, Organized Noise, Slim Thug, Dallas Austin, and many more). Fast-forward to today, Aleon Craft has recently joined forces with SMKA (Music Producers) and Esperanza (Visual Artists) to chronicle his work and life stories. Craft has spent the past few years, as an independent artist and exploring the galaxy, experimenting with music. The Prologue is a collection of songs, written by Aleon Craft, that showcases the re-creation and re-introduction of the artists, Aleon Craft.

ATL’s Finest: The Best of T-Rock

trock

The days of T-Rock’s fan base consisting of Dutch fisherman hat-wearing graffiti coffee table book purchasing muppets and recovering meth addict wiggers who own every Hypnotize Mindz bootleg mixtape, run blogs that feature nothing other than scans of tape covers and possibly own gold fronts that they have never had the balls to wear in public need to end. The guy is simply way too talented to be relegated to such status. From his days shredding Paul and J’s throwaways to his current independent “grind”, T-Rock has done nothing but catch fast rap wreck on hard beats.

The Best Of I compiled consists of tracks that I find best showcase T-Rock’s abilities. There is a lot missing (I didn’t have a copy of Defcon 1 on my hd…), but this should serve as a great introduction for the uninitiated. Click below for the download link, tracklisting and some hilarious youtube Three-6 disses.

Another Based spectacle. This may be blasphemous, but Soulja Boy is kinda better at this than Lil B. At the very least is taking his ball and running away with it.

R.I.P. Supreeme

supreeme-bless-the-child-fin

In case you haven’t heard, the Atlanta “alt-rap” group Supreeme announced their break-up last week. I was never a huge fan, as their fan base is quite faggy and they rap about God and stuff, but I have always appreciated their talent. Especially Shaka’s production. Apparently Sam is going to cooking school and Negashi moved to Oakland and is coming out with a solo album.

With the announcement of the group’s end came their final album, God Bless The Child, which I like a lot more than Supremacy.

Shaka freaked some classic Kelly Clarkson for the album closer:

SJTE

If Soulja Boy’s fantastically entertaining Eazy-E impression on “Cold Summer” wasn’t warning enough, it may be time to get ready to hop on the bandwagon… Before you scoff, check out his latest stream of consciousness rant about quasars, jupiter, 2Pac and “threedimensiolosophy”. Buy stock now.

Prynce ‘What Da Dec Been Missing 2′

cover

It will be hard to top the first volume, but the few leaks from this project have me willing to bet that Greg Street and Prynce come pretty damn close. If you haven’t heard “Georgia”, you are missing out on a classic. Shit, “Go Outside” too…
