Mowjoe – “Without You” and “Pushing Buttons”

I get that ubiquitous penis tingle whenever I stumble across a new beat maker with viable talent. In the course of my spiritual sample seshes it is impossible to not pay attention to the often blatant Dillabiting. And while it is my opinion that most cats plain copy Dilla (Madlib too), a few of them attempt to take the building blocks Dilla left behind and turn them into something new and unrealized. Mowjoe seems to fit into that category.

The interface is colorful, has much more flair, and some cool characteristics such as ‘Mixview’ which let you speedily see connected collections, tracks, or other users related to what you’re hearing. Clicking on 1 of them will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, permitting you to navigate around exploring by the same performers, tunes, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” can also be great fun, letting you discover others with shared preferences and getting buddies with them.
