J.U.i.C.E., a non-profit hip-hop arts organization in Los Angeles (www.rampartjuice.com), is proud to announce that we are partnering with Amagezi Germanyi Youth Association (AGYA) on an international hip-hop artist exchange program that will bring Los Angeles-based MC Open Mike Eagle, and Los Angeles-based beatmaker and Brainfeeder recording artist, Ras G, to work with Ugandan rapper Mon MC, youth artists, and other local musicians in Uganda for three weeks in May of 2012.
I posted the song itself for DL HERE. Details of their campaign are HERE. Seems like the project is coming along well. I’m really curious to hear more music from these guys made (or will make) together, it’s an interesting pairing.

Ka is a machine, I didn’t even know there would be more vids coming from Grief Pedigree. Not that I’m complaining at all. The timing of it is certainly appropriate; as the name implies it’s the one track on the album that fits the warm weather, it has that still summer night feel to it. Although I wonder if I’m shortchanging Grief Pedigree by casting it in an explicitly winter-oriented context, a change of season could potential provide a new perspective on the whole album.

This is simultaneously the best Fiend song, the best Curren$y song and the best Fiend + Curren$y collabo that has dropped in recent (admittedly hazy) memory. Some hilarious shit going on in the video too – kinda seems like both Fiend and the girl with the D&G glasses both got too high, to an uncomfortable extent. The girl especially. Then again, I’d rather be uncomfortably high on a yacht then comfortably sober at work, so fml and good for them.
