VIDEO: BADBADNOTGOOD – She (Tyler Cover) Ft. Leland Whitty

Leland Whitty with a sax assist. These kids are unfuckwitable this year. Is that some kind of 8bit cover of ‘Enter Sandman’ in the credits?

STREAM: Sinden – G Like Me Ft. G-Side

G-Side makes a rare group cameo on a non-SMS track. Their iSLAND album is dropping this Friday, pre-orders are up on Bandcamp.

Sinden and G-Side, “G Like Me” by The FADER

via The Fader, where they also have a dancey remix of this song that isn’t really my cup of tea.

SpaceGhostPurrp – Filth God

Monday, October 31st, 2011

SGP going over some dubstep beat. It’s a little old I guess, but sounds very Halloween appropriate. I’m a little surprised at how well this works, SGP’s style meshes perfectly with the deep dark tone of the instrumental. Mind you, 9/10 times I strongly dislike dubstep; I mean that literally as I’ve heard about 10 songs total that genre and disliked all of them except this one. Maybe I haven’t been listening to the right things.

Roach Gigz – Drugs RMX Ft. Danny Brown & DB Tha General (C&S By Soul Division)

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

Our Soul Division brethren sent this over the weekend as a possible candidate for our upcoming C&S tape collaboration. It’s crazy as hell, needs to be heard by the masses but maybe too singular to include in a mix (it would likely overpower anything around it). Instead of trying to describe this pandemonium verbally, I’m going with a picture of flying bears shooting eye lasers. That’s better and more appropriate than anything I can write.

Jackie Chain – Parked Outside (S&C By Soul Division) / Big K.R.I.T. – Money On The Floor (S&C By Soul Division)

Friday, October 7th, 2011

SteadyB and Soul Division are doin’ thangs. Specifically, we’re doing a chopped and screwed compilation which we will drop in a near future. Expect to see a grip of new and classic tracks selected with care by a distinguished and discerning brain trust comprised of the guys in Soul Division (who will naturally handle all the chops and slows), Blast and myself. Rest assured that we will take, drink and smoke all the drugs we can get our hands on to guarantee you the best and stoniest quality possible.

The following two tracks may or may not make it onto the compilation. Either way, they should give you a good idea of what to expect. Hope you enjoy.

Cam’ron & Kanye West – That 1970s Heroin Flow (Compilation by HHIR)

Very nice little comp by Hip Hop Is Read. Ivan apparently shares my opinion regarding Kanye doing some of his best work with Cam, props and thanks to him for putting this together.

STREAM: BK-ONE – Tema Do Canibal Feat. MF DOOM [Exile Mind the Gap Remix]

Monday, August 29th, 2011

Here’s what’s going on here in case you’re not familiar, in BK-ONE’s own words:

As a follow-up to 2009′s “Rádio Do Canibal”, I sent one of my favorite songs from the album to several of my friends and heroes.I asked them to use their imaginations and take the song somewhere entirely new.The result is five great new tracks featuring a legendary percussionist from São Paulo, one of my favorite MC’s ever, a Brazilian record guru, a West Coast beat manipulator, an incredibly talented and prolific composer from Rio de Janeiro, one of my city’s best DJ’s, and a childhood friend who inspired me to start collecting records…all together on one 12″.Here’s a few of my favorite moments. You can pre-order the EP here: http://bit.ly/p2aqkx

So this obviously is the DOOM/Exile remix, and any new DOOM is much appreciated. Stream only on this one.
