Rome Fortune’s deeply personal, at times almost uncomfortably honest concerns and sentiments unleashed in bursts of dense semi-abstract rap over waves of Childish Major’s hypnotic electrofunk. FLOSS gets a tape full of beats from Chris Rockaway and runs with a more Houston-centric style on this one. While this young fella has shown a ton of promise in AA ball, this tape moves him onto a AAA squad and should get him some looks from the bigs. Dude has a live arm.
I took a flyer on this one when it popped up on Supa’s spot (who appears on this) and am basking in the flava as we speak. Denzel aka Aquarius Killa aka Raven Miyagi rocks the shit out of the whole 96 KLVN vibe thing with a little more humor than SGP. “Twistin” with Lil Ugly Mane is my quick favorite. I know I shouldn’t love this shit as much as I do, but I am nothing if not flawed.
Loving the flow here. A great song for those days when the trap has worn on you and you don’t really feel like keeping your face gator, but you know you really should.
Best use of ‘Feel It All Around’ to date. Could use more Pat in the end though.
